Won the best entertainer Nobel prize for Entertainment Weekly magazine earlier this year. (Basically the best person to entertain the crowd not only performing but also talking)

BACKGROUND

Jason Blade is the 3^rd of 4 children. The other’s consisting of 1 brother (Marc) and 2 sisters (Taryn, Claire) who have no interest to ever become wrestlers unlike Jason Blade who from an early age declared that he wanted to become a wrestler. Blade’s idol growing up was Hard Stone who Blade had traveled to live events to see in action all over the United States.

When Blade turned 11 he began extensive training to become a professional wrestler, the trainers said that Blade had that special ‘quality’ that will take him to the very top of the business. When Blade went to high school he immediately joined the wrestling team but his high school team narrowly missed out on qualifying for the state finals. But that setback didn’t deter him one bit because when Blade enrolled in college after high school he met Donny Downfall and Donny would train Blade up day and night which the progress soon showed. Blade captured the amateur college world heavyweight championship, a title Blade would hold until he graduated. When Blade left college he began to train for the federation’s of the professional circuit.

Blade wanted to be the best and by doing that he had to join the best federation in the world. So when Donny Downfall told Blade he was ready Blade immediately contacted Extreme Championship Fatal Wrestling’s agents and booked a tryout, Blade did more than impress, the board of director’s and Nick were so impressed with Blade’s ability they signed him to a 4-year contract straight away without any discussions. Since then Blade has never looked back.

In 2005 though Blade began going downhill, was his career over? Some would say yes but the truth was that in January of 2005 Blade’s fiancée Eva contracted cancer of the womb, Blade had to keep taking time away from the squared circle to be with his fiancée . In April of 2005 the cancer went into remission and it looked like Eva would be ok. But in May 1st 2005 Eva took very ill as the cancer returned. Blade still wanted to compete in his Cyber Carnage IV triple threat match but the signs showed he wasn’t focused on his match. On May 17^th Eva passed away which practically killed Jason Blade. Blade had to take a very long sabbatical away from Extreme Championship Fatal Wrestling to overcome his grief.

At Revolution in 2005 it was Team ECFW Vs. Team TNG and Team ECFW had a mystery opponent. It turned out it was Jason Blade. Blade looked better than ever for that night but then Blade went mediocre again. It turned out Blade had his mediocre performances planned all the way up until Destruction 2006. Blade promised that from Destruction 2006 a new Jason Blade would emerge. One that is improved from 2004 even and Blade has delivered on his word all the through 2006.

Other Background Information.

Jason Blade is engaged to Alexis Knight and both individuals have vowed not to use any storylines concerning their engagement.

Tatium Tyler is very close to both Alexis Knight and Jason Blade away from the ring.

Blade is lead singer and guitarist for his rock band, Raging Tiger.

They had a long standing hated rivalry in 2004 but Lonewolf and Jason Blade are good friends away from the ring.

Both of Blade’s parents are alive and well, they own a mountain retreat up in the mountains of Calgary, Alberta.

Jason Blade asked Nick to not be included into the Hall of Fame as he stated ‘it wasn’t his time’ but Nick thought otherwise and included him (Blade didn’t show up for his Hall of Fame inductee speech claiming ‘He didn’t think it would be right to speak about his acceptance when he though he shouldn’t have been inducted’)

Owen Nelson is a close friend of the Blade family.

Donny Downfall and Jason Blade are 2 well known pranksters away from the ring (a trait that Blade carries into the wrestling industry)

Jason Blade and Aric Hart do not get on away from wrestling as well as in wrestling. Blade refers to Aric as ‘A arrogant and egotistical know it all who cares only for his own opinions.’

Jason Blade is one hell of a snowboarder.

Jason Blade’s own finisher, The Blade Cutter, has been described as painful by ECFW’s very own owner, Nick.

The ‘X’ motion Blade does takes him back to his college days. The Fraternity he belonged to X Delta Phi House (X3) used the ‘X’ as their motto. Blade also calls himself X3 in the ring too.
