Remi, once a well-known traditional-style wrestler among the indy circuit, was growing restless as the worldof wrestling became a breeding ground for violence. He began to lose his enthusiasm for the purity of the game with each chair shot, table break, and kendo stick crack. He left the scene for something more true to his roots and found himself in the now defunct Southern States Wrestling Federation as Panther. Remi soon saw himself drowning amongst the old names and decided to give in to the voices. Ever since he joined Frontier Hardcore Wrestling (also defunct) and winning their Heavyweight title in what was the most brutal match of his career, Remi vowed to take his purity and crossbreed it with the most violent style of wrestling. After returning from the shadows, he kept himself under wraps with a painted face and a more violent persona. Remi is said to have went through deep trauma after witnessing the fall of the glory days.
